Why I Don’t Focus on Weight Loss When Healing Emot Why I Don’t Focus on Weight Loss When Healing Emotional Eating👇🏽

Let’s focus on something that I often get asked about - why I don’t focus on weight loss, even though my clients do eventually lose weight as a result of the work we do together on their emotional eating. I know that might sound strange in a world that’s obsessed with the number on the scale.

But if you’ve been struggling with emotional eating, body image issues, restriction, dieting, you’ll want to stay tuned and listen to what’s really going on.

So here’s the thing, emotional eating and weight loss have a bit of a chicken and egg dynamic. But what comes first is definitely resolving your emotional eating.

The reason I don’t focus on weight loss comes a lot from my own journey with emotional eating and body image. And i’ve seen this pattern play out time and time again with clients.

👉🏽Let’s dive in. Comment “loss” and I’ll send you the full video✨
Why do you emotionally eat? Mostly because of unh Why do you emotionally eat?

Mostly because of unhealed emotions aka trauma.

And trauma is not a scary word.

Ok, I get it. Years ago I didn’t even know what unresolved emotions were let alone trauma. Looking back I didn’t know how to move through my emotions, I just held it in. And to cope with the pain I used food.

I didn’t know it then, but I didn’t have the skills to meet my true emotional needs.

Trauma is just unresolved emotions you experienced from certain life experiences. If you can’t process these emotions you hold them in your body and look for ways to numb the pain. Like with food (your drug of choice).

It’s really not about the food but kind of is (join my masterclass to dive deeper on this nuance!).

When I’m working with clients the root of their pattern is trauma that developed in childhood resulting in a dysregulated nervous system.  You might not remember it but your body does and loves to cover it up with emotional eating urges.

It thinks it’s helping you by distracting you with food to get some relief but it’s also impacting how you feel about yourself and making you feel shame.

Don’t worry - there’s a way to heal this and you get to experience ease and peace around food and in your body. Your body literally shifts it’s nervous system from being in fight or flight to to calm.

It’s not about willpower, diets or any of that surface stuff. Some practitioner’s don’t really get it.

You deserve understanding, support, and guidance - not more shame or quick fixes.

If you want to actually see what shifts your pattern with emotional eating I’ll be sharing more in my free masterclass for ambitious women looking for a solution that goes beyond just white-knuckling it through a binge with surface-level solutions.

In this masterclass on Wednesday, you’ll learn:

👉🏽 Why willpower isn’t the answer
👉🏽 Why diets fail you
👉🏽 What’s really triggering this pattern
👉🏽 The 3 Keys to resolving emotional eating

Don’t settle for surface solutions that don’t address the root cause. It’s time to take control of your emotional eating journey.

The Truth About Emotional Eating No One’s Talking The Truth About Emotional Eating No One’s Talking About 👀

Here are some of the strategies I see women with emotional eating using that don’t work:

1.Relying on diets, intense exercise, willpower
2.Relying of the health system to “fix” them with pills, surgery or programs that don’t get to the root
3.Intuitive Eating
4.Over eaters Anonymous
4.Going to therapy and just talking about things

…And these are just some of the common ones.

Emotional eating is multilayered, and to truly heal it, we need to understand it from all angles and get to the root.

Your emotional eating is a coping mechanism. It’s connected to thoughts, unresolved emotions and stress.

Which is why a lot of solutions give you a temporary result, but will never work long term…because they don’t address the deeper layers to your pattern. Like my client recently said after trying all the diets and emotional eating programs - they didn’t get to the core...

This is why I want to invite you to join my FREE MASTERCLASS this Wednesday!

In the masterclass, we’ll dive deep into the layers of emotional eating, unpack some common myths about emotional eating, and I’ll share what really triggering your emotional eating.

In this masterclass you’ll learn how to address your emotional eating from all angles in a holistic way so you can move towards a life feeling at ease around food and in your body.

So, regardless of where you’re at in your emotional eating journey, this masterclass can be a game-changer.

You deserve more than just coping with food. You d You deserve more than just coping with food. You deserve to feel at ease and confident around food and in your body.

Emotional eating keeps you from this.

You’re not here to just heal your Emotional Eating, you’re here to evolve the quality of your life.

I’m so grateful I healed this pattern before I had my son, so I could model something better to him: a healthier relationship to food, more confidence in my body, compassion for my emotions. And most of all feeling a deeper sense of presence.

Because our children learn through who we are being not what we are saying.

When you decide to heal your emotional eating you are saying you want to be the woman you desire to be - a better parent, a present partner, a better business leader, a true friend, showing up confidently at work and in your life.

This journey isn’t about finding a magic bullet or quick fix. It’s about addressing the root causes of your Emotional Eating and giving you the knowledge, tools and strategies to heal it step by step so you get to the other side so food doesn’t determine your worth or level of confidence.

This is about your life. Isn’t that worth the investment?

If it is then join me at my upcoming FREE LIVE ONLINE MASTERCLASS next week “The 3 Keys for Ambitious Women to Heal their Emotional Eating from the Root so they can finally feel at ease and confident around food and in their body.”

Let’s step into a life where you feel ease and peace. The life were you are not just surviving but living - even with the ups and downs ;)

The Biggest Mistake Ambitious Women Make When Tryi The Biggest Mistake Ambitious Women Make When Trying to ‘Fix’ Emotional Eating👇🏽

Most women think emotional eating is a food problem.

So they try to solve it with food rules.

Here’s the real mistake:
They try to control the symptom instead of healing the root.

So they:
-start a new diet plan with high hopes
-cut out their trigger foods
-track macros
-rely on willpower
-shame themselves when they slip

And it works… for a few days.

But the moment stress hits…the emotional eating comes back - harder.

Why? Because emotional eating isn’t about food.

It’s about:
-the parts of you using food to cope
-your unmet needs
-your unresolved emotions

You can’t fix emotional eating at the level of food - it’s the tip of the iceberg.

You heal it at the root (your inner world).

That’s what shifted everything for me and for my clients.

When I stopped focusing on control and started focusing on:

👉🏽True nourishment, Body acceptance, and emotional wellness

…that’s when food stopped feeling like a battle.

And that’s exactly what I teach in my free masterclass: The 3 Keys for ambitious women to Heal Emotional Eating at the Root.

I’ll be laying out the exact method I use to help my clients feel peace and ease around food and in their body.

Stopping Emotional Eating Isn’t About Willpower - Stopping Emotional Eating Isn’t About Willpower - So what really works?👇🏽

You’ve probably been told you need more willpower or to avoid your triggers to control your emotional eating.

If you’re an ambitious woman who struggles with this - I’m sure you’ve tried this for years with no luck.

The truth is you don’t need more willpower or to avoid triggers 😉

I get it - I’ve been there too. I used my sheer willpower and determination while trying all the things; diets, personal training, therapy sessions and more.

But I just couldn’t make the changes stick. After giving it my all without any real change, I hit my breaking point. There had to be a different way.

So, I changed things; I ate what I wanted, moved countries (yes), changed careers - hoping I’d have a shift and finally feel ok.

But guess what? I still didn’t feel better, and things seemed to get worse. I had to figure out my emotional eating because it was stronger than ever.

My episodes were debilitating and my self hate was at an all time high. I felt disgusted with myself and knew I needed to do something.

So, I rolled up my sleeves and figured out the pieces step by step.

Through los of trail and error I realized this: emotional eating was my go to coping mechanism. I used it to deal with stress, trauma, and all the uncomfortable emotions I didn’t know how to handle.

And now? It’s been over 10 years since I’ve emotionally eaten - I feel confident and at ease around food and in my body without using willpower, without shaming myself, without counting calories…

And now I teach women just like you how to do the same.

If you’re ready to resolve your emotional eating then join my FREE Masterclass where I’ll share:

👉🏽Why willpower doesn’t work.
👉🏽Why diets fail you.
👉🏽What’s really triggering your urge to emotionally eat.
👉🏽The 3 Keys to resolving emotional eating for good.

Emotional Eating: How Somatic Work Can Help You He Emotional Eating: How Somatic Work Can Help You Heal👇🏽

Did you know that emotional eating is not really about the food? It’s your body’s way of coping with the stress of unprocessed emotions and trauma.

So if diets and willpower haven’t worked for you, we have to go deeper to the body.

Today I wanted to talk about how we can use the body to heal emotional eating. Through my own journey, my work with clients, and observing this pattern, I’ve seen clearly how emotional eating comes from these unprocessed, unresolved emotions that we hold in our body.

In order to cope with this discomfort, we turn to food to soothe, numb, or distract ourselves from how uncomfortable we feel.

Earlier in my journey, I tried everything you probably have - diets, exercise, willpower. I even tried talk therapy, and nothing seemed to resolve my emotional eating.

That’s where I had to take things into my own hands.

👉🏽Let’s dive in. Comment “somatic” and I’ll send you the full video✨
Have you been telling yourself this lie? That when Have you been telling yourself this lie? That when you can finally control food you’ll stop emotional eating.

Spoiler: it’s not really about the food.

It’s what’s triggering your behaviour with food which is under the surface.

This usually goes back to childhood patterns we learned in order to cope and now they’re automatic.

We need to shift this pattern so that we’re reaching for food when we’re hungry vs looking to soothe emotions. And learn to meet our emotional needs without using food.

The way I guide clients to do this is to start discerning true from emotional hunger and catch their triggers.

👉🏽If you’d like to know how to do this you can grab my free guide. Comment or DM “guide” and I’ll send it over✨
