Why you feel like something possessed you when you Why you feel like something possessed you when you emotional eat.

It’s feels like you’re watching a scary movie except you are the main character. You feel like something took possession of your body. You’re watching yourself go to the fridge, grab food, eat it and it goes on and on.

You can’t seem to press to off switch no matter how much you try.

Or how much you know you “shouldn’t” be having this food.

Your emotional eating has been triggered.

And besides feeling like you have no control you also sink into that shame spiral.

Why does this happen? Well emotional eating is a coping mechanism that when triggered has 95% power over your actions.

Because it’s subconscious, the conscious you is watching this happen. It’s like watching your heart beat and not being able to stop it.

But unlike your heart, you can shift this pattern with emotional eating though a process.

I teach this to clients inside of The Emotional Eating Evolution Program 3-phase framework.

1. True Nourishment to discern true from emotional hunger and catch your triggers
2. Shift to Body Acceptance and reduce shame spirals that trigger emotioanl eating
3. Resolve the root of your emotional eating pattern using somatic meditations with psychotherapy tools for your specific roots.

This is what shifts the pattern so you can start feeling ease and peace around food and in your body as a natural byproduct.

If you’d like to resolve your pattern book in a free clarity call to see how The EEE Program can support you. DM “clarity” to chat✨
Why Emotional Eating Is a Regulation Strategy (Not Why Emotional Eating Is a Regulation Strategy (Not a Food Problem)

If you’ve tried dieting, therapy, willpower, intuitive eating and you’re still turning to food, then this is for you.

Because emotional eating isn’t a food problem. It’s a regulation strategy.

And once you start to understand that, everything starts to make sense.

If you’re like most women who struggle with emotional eating, you feel like you need to control food. You need to control your body. You need more discipline. You need a better meal plan.

But emotional eating isn’t happening because you don’t know what to eat. It’s happening because your nervous system is dysregulated because certain emotions are being triggered and coming to the surface.

And food has become one of the fastest ways you know how to regulate your internal system to get back to calm, to feel soothed and to stop feeling like you’re out of control.

Let’s dive in to see how to resolve this because food was not made to regulate you. Comment or DM “regulation” and I’ll send you the full video✨
Red flags that tell me you’re still in diet mental Red flags that tell me you’re still in diet mentality that triggers emotional eating.

I was recently speaking to a woman who said she knew a lot about eating disorders but was still emotional eating.

As we were talking about her pattern I asked her when she would emotional eat and if she knew it was emotional eating or that she was restricting.

She said a few things - sometimes she makes a “nourishing meal” that looks like a healthy meal with dessert and all the things. She also said she was allowing herself to eat more based on her personal trainer suggestions.

In all of this I didn’t hear her mention that the meal was satisfying to her body or if she could tell when she was triggered into emotional eating.

What I heard was: I am following the rules of what “should” be healthy but I don’t actually know in my body if that is what I need, if it’s true hunger or emotional. It’s a sneaky way diet mentality is still running the show.

I’m not going to throw nutrition out the window but the missing piece is YOUR body. When we keep trying to adhere to a plan without seeing if it’s right for us, we shame ourselves when we can’t stick to it. Shame triggers emotional eating.

If you’d like a tangible way to see if you’re truly hungry or triggered into emotional hunger then grab my free guide. Comment or DM “guide” and I’ll send it over.
Why weightloss shouldn’t be your goal when you emo Why weightloss shouldn’t be your goal when you emotional eat AND getting to “your healthy” without restriction.

What I find with my clients is that their weightloss is fuelled by chasing acceptance and validation.

On the surface they may say things like “ I want to get healthy” “ I want my body to reflect my activity”.

But deeper down the belief running the show is “I’m not good enough until I reach this weight”. Which is shaming and spirals you into emotional eating, and keeps your body in fight or flight mode which make you hold onto weight.

I get it - this was my motivation as well until I dieted my way to the “right body” and the acceptance, validation and compliments eventually ended and I went right back to food.

When you heal emotional eating at the root and address the layers to this pattern weightloss can be the natural byproduct because your body is not stupid, it just requires the right conditions.

We work through this using the framework in The Emotional Eating Evolution Program through True Nourishment, Body Acceptance and Emotional Wellness.

If you’d like to get started on the first step I give to clients comment “free guide” and I’ll send it to you✨
The Pendulum Swing: From Dieting to Intuitive Eati The Pendulum Swing: From Dieting to Intuitive Eating – And Why Emotional Eating Still Remains.

Have you noticed the pendulum swing? Swinging from years of dieting to intuitive eating, where you eat whatever you want but your emotional eating still remains.

You might be asking yourself: I stopped dieting, why do I still feel so out of control? This really isn’t about choosing one side or another, it’s about what each side doesn’t address.

I used to emotionally eat and I tried both approaches, swinging from a diet mentality to intuitive eating. I see this in my clients too, and neither side really worked.

Essentially, diets disconnect you from your body’s actual needs. They also add a layer of shame when you can’t stick to the rules, which make you feel worse. This cycle perpetuates emotional eating.

On the other side, is intuitive eating. Often, when we’re fed up with diets and rules, we swing completely in the other direction, throwing everything out the window and eating whatever comes to mind. This is not helpful as well.

Neither approach works for emotional eating. Let’s dive into how to actually resolve emotional eating at the root. Comment “swing” and I’ll send you the full video✨
The Truth About Emotional Eating No One’s Talking The Truth About Emotional Eating No One’s Talking About 👀

Here are some of the strategies I see women with emotional eating using that don’t work:

1.Relying on diets, intense exercise, willpower
2.Relying of the health system to “fix” them with pills, surgery or programs that don’t get to the root
3.Intuitive Eating
4.Over eaters Anonymous
4.Going to therapy and just talking about things

…And these are just some of the common ones.

Emotional eating is multilayered, and to truly heal it, we need to understand it from all angles and get to the root.

Your emotional eating is a coping mechanism. It’s connected to thoughts, unresolved emotions and stress.

Which is why a lot of solutions give you a temporary result, but will never work long term…because they don’t address the deeper layers to your pattern. Like my client recently said after trying all the diets and emotional eating programs - they didn’t get to the core...

This is why I want to invite you to join my FREE MASTERCLASS tomorrow - April 7th!

Why do you emotionally eat? Mostly because of unh Why do you emotionally eat?

Mostly because of unhealed emotions aka trauma.

And trauma is not a scary word.

Ok, I get it. Years ago I didn’t even know what unhealed emotions were let alone trauma. Looking back I didn’t know how to move through my emotions, I just held it in. And to cope with the pain I used food.

I didn’t know it then, but I didn’t have the skills to meet my true emotional needs.

So that trauma isn’t a scary word you run from, trauma is just unresolved emotions you experienced from certain life experiences. If you can’t process these emotions you hold them in your body and look for ways to numb the pain. Like with food (your drug of choice).

It’s really not about the food but kind of is (join my masterclass to dive deeper on this nuance!).

So when I’m working with clients the root of their pattern is trauma that developed in childhood resulting in a dysregulated nervous system. You might not remember it but your body does and covesr it up with emotional eating urges.

It thinks it’s helping you by distracting you with food to get some relief but it’s also impacting how you feel about yourself and making you feel shame.

Don’t worry - there’s a way to heal this and you get to experience ease and peace around food and in your body. Your body literally shifts it’s nervous system from being in fight or flight to to calm.

It’s not about willpower, diets or any of that surface stuff. Some practitioner’s don’t really get it.

If you want to actually see what shifts your pattern with emotional eating I’ll be sharing more in my free live masterclass this Tuesday April 7th for ambitious women looking for a solution that goes beyond just white-knuckling it through a binge with surface-level solutions.

In this masterclass, you’ll learn:
👉🏽 Why willpower isn’t the answer👉🏽 Why diets fail you👉🏽 What’s really triggering this pattern👉🏽 The 3 Keys to resolving emotional eating

Don’t settle for surface solutions that don’t address the root cause. It’s time to take control of your emotional eating journey.

You deserve more than just coping with food. You d You deserve more than just coping with food. You deserve to thrive.

Emotional eating keeps you from feeling ease in your body, at peace around food and showing up confidently in your life.

Are you ready to resolve this pattern at the root?

I’m so grateful I resolved this pattern before I had my son, so I could model something better to him: a healthier relationship to food, more confidence in my body, compassion for myself and the ability to move through my emotions. And most of all feeling more whole.

I always knew - our children learn through who we are being vs. what we are saying.

This journey is about being the version of yourself you desire to be - a better parent, a present partner, a better business leader, a true friend, showing up confidently at work and in your life even when life is life-ing.

This journey isn’t about finding a magic bullet. It’s about addressing the root causes of your emotional eating and giving you the awareness, tools, strategies and embodied experience to resolve it so you get to the other side where food doesn’t determine your worth or level of confidence.

This is about your life. Isn’t that worth the investment? I think so.

Join me at my upcoming FREE LIVE ONLINE MASTERCLASS next week on April 7th “The 3 Keys for Ambitious Women to Heal their Emotional Eating from the Root so they can finally feel at ease and confident around food and in their body.”

Let’s step into a life where you feel ease and peace. The life were you are not just surviving but thriving - even with the ups and downs ;)

The Biggest Mistake Ambitious Women Make When Tryi The Biggest Mistake Ambitious Women Make When Trying to ‘Fix’ Emotional Eating.

Most women think emotional eating is a food problem. So they try to solve it with food rules.

Here’s the real mistake - they try to control the symptom instead of healing the root. So they:
start a new diet plan with high hopes
cut out their trigger foods
track macros
rely on willpower
shame themselves when they slip up

And it works… for a few days, months and even years. But the moment stress hits the emotional eating comes back harder.

Why?

Because emotional eating isn’t really about the food (ok it’s a bit nuanced so join my masterclass to find out more), it’s about:
-the parts of you using food to cope
-your unmet needs
-your unresolved emotions

You can’t fix emotional eating at the level of food - it’s the tip of the iceberg. You fix it at the root (your inner world). That’s what shifted everything for me and for my clients.

When I stopped focusing on control and started focusing on:
True nourishment, Body acceptance, and emotional wellness

…that’s when food stopped feeling like a battle.

And that’s exactly what I teach in my FREE LIVE masterclass “The 3 Keys for Ambitious Women to Heal their Emotional Eating from the Root so they can finally feel at ease and confident around food and in their body.” on April 7, 2026.

I’ll be laying out the step by step method I use to help my clients feel peace and ease around food and in their body.
