Hello, love,
I want to talk to you about something I hear all the time: the idea of “thinking your way out” of emotional eating. When we’re trying to break this pattern, we often find ourselves consuming a lot of information.
While information is valuable and helps raise awareness, simply understanding what emotional eating is won’t be enough to resolve it.
You can’t think your way out of emotional eating—you need more than just knowledge to shift this behaviour.
Emotional eating is a coping mechanism. It’s something you likely developed at a young age to deal with discomfort, stress, or challenging emotions. Over time, it became a default response, something you turn to automatically when life feels overwhelming or when stress takes over.
I’ve worked with clients who’ve tried to control emotional eating with diets, exercise plans, or sheer willpower. But here’s the thing: it doesn’t last.
Eventually, they reach a tipping point where the body becomes stronger than the mind. And when triggered, they end up emotionally eating, despite their best efforts to control it.
So, why can’t we just think our way out of emotional eating? Because we need a more embodied approach to break the cycle.
Let’s dive in:
- 1:31 – What “embodied” means in the context of emotional eating
- 2:10 – Where emotional eating lives and why it has so much power over you
- 3:05 – How to begin resolving this pattern with a step-by-step embodied approach
- 7:30 – More about The Emotional Eating Evolution Program
- 8:00 – Free resources to support you
By using this more holistic, body-centered approach, we begin to break the automatic patterns and shift the way you respond to stress and emotions—without relying on willpower or sheer mental effort.
If you’re ready to finally resolve your emotional eating and feel empowered, I’d love to help guide you through this transformation.
