Hello love,

Today I’ll be sharing about about body acceptance.

I know, you’re probably rolling your eyes. Most women think that body acceptance means they have to miraculously love or like their body.

But that’s not what body acceptance is about.

It’s about that critical voice in your head becoming more neutral.

So you could actually dislike your body and still have body acceptance.

This is important.

Because that voice inside our head criticizing our body every time we walk past the mirror triggers a lot of shame, and it can spiral us into emotional eating.

It also puts a lot of stress on our body and can derail us from our goals.

We need body acceptance because it will help us get to the other side of emotional eating.

It’s not just about accepting your body but also about meeting your deeper needs around your body.

When I was on my journey with emotional eating, I couldn’t see how body acceptance tied into my emotional eating, but I knew that every time I looked in the mirror I was super critical. I didn’t say the kindest things to myself, and it was debilitating.

So when I started to work on body acceptance, I started to slowly accept myself. That voice became more neutral, and it didn’t mean I liked everything about my body.

As I worked on body acceptance, my body started to shift. I had more energy, I wanted to move more, and eventually, over the years, I liked my body and started to love myself.
