Emotional Eating has to do with emotions. I wanted to share more with you about emotions because they are part of the puzzle to resolving Emotional Eating. 

Looking back on my own journey I would consciously eat food to feel better or be triggered into binges. 

Emotional eating has to do with our emotions. It’s how we use food to cope or soothe ourselves from any uncomfortable emotions or any stressors. 

We do this because we weren’t taught how to be with our emotions, to move through them, to navigate them or understand them. 

As a society that is what we see.

We usually feel a lot of shame around our emotions we want to disconnect from them.

We habitually do this and not realize it. But when it’s with food and impacting our body that’s when the lights turn on. We realize we need to do something about this. 

Our emotions are important in resolving this pattern. Because we weren’t taught what emotions are and how to navigate them we don’t know how to use them.
