I wanted to chat about what you need to understand to stop binge and emotional eating because it can be confusing when we emotionally eat and binge eat. We think something is wrong with us, our body, that we need more willpower, or self control. 

This couldn’t be further from the truth. 

There is so much more to your binge and emotional eating that you need to understand. 

So let’s start from the beginning. If you think back to when you started to emotionally eat and binge eat, was it recently or does this pattern go back to your earlier years?

Think about when you started to use food as a crutch. Something that you go to when you’re stressed out, triggered, feeling discomfort, shame, criticized, or rejected.

Think back to when this started happening. For my clients this pattern started when they were really young.

You might not have an exact memory but it wasn’t yesterday this started happening. 

This is because this pattern starts when we are children. I see this with clients when we do the deeper work. This pattern has been going on for so long and they have tried so many diets, exercise plans, pills, surgery, therapy, etc and nothing has helped them shift the pattern.
