Hello love,

It might seem really obvious why we emotionally eat – we might be feeling rejected, not seen, or heard, validated or understood or accepted.

And this creates this discomfort. This shame and rejection that we then go to food to soothe us from the pain and discomfort.

Something that came to mind as I was thinking about this was that in every movie or tv show where someone goes through a breakup or hard time – they are there with a tub of ice cream emotionally eating. 

It’s almost normalized as the thing we do but I don’t want this to be the norm and I’m sure you feel the same way too, am I right? 

If you’ve ever chatted with me in person I will almost always say everyone is an emotional eater to a degree just because of the way our society is set up. Food is so accessible and easy to use to numb with.

If you are reading this you’ve probably been suffering with emotional eating for a long time. Years and decades and are finally ready to do something about it.
