I’m Michelle Lall, the Holistic Nutritionist behind L.A.L.L. Nutrition. I’m a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, a certified chemistry and biology teacher and former chemist.

But first a bit about my health history….

I spent many years struggling to lose weight and fight off acne. As a teenager it was all that I thought about and thought if I lost the weight and had glowing skin I’d finally be happy.

I started to diet (atkins, bland foods, eating disorders, restriction, no fat, no chocolate, counting calories, etc.) but I would lose weight and then my willpower would fade. I also had anorexic then binging tendencies. I would emotionally binge and finally I realized I needed to stop.

I just wanted to be “my healthy”. No more diets or restrictions or critical self talk. I wanted to feel good!

 

So, I gave up and ate whatever I wanted! This was freeing but also made me feel not that great. I needed to find a better solution.

I started to make small changes that felt good. Drinking more water, having breakfast, having more vegetables, etc.

I accepted my imperfect body where it was. This helped me to just want to be healthier without needing to be a certain size.

Emotional eating and binging were becoming an issue. I had gone to therapy and from researching what was going on I learned to really sit with my emotions (easier said than done). To listen to them instead of shut them up with food to cope. This was a practice.

After many years I was able to not use food to stuff my emotions. I learned how to get to the root cause of my emotional eating and started to heal my emotions and hear their messages. Surprisingly, this made eating healthier more intuitive! I wanted to nourish, not punish myself with food.

The changes I made felt empowering and like I was just becoming who I was. I was so excited and awed by the power of food as medicine and the power of emotional healing that I wanted to share this with others. I devoured every book I could on health, went to the Ann Wigmore Institue in Puerto Rico and signed up at the Institute for Holistic Nutrition.

Today, I eat in a way that is nourishing, I don’t feel deprived and I am deeply connected to my body and food has no power over me. I don’t obsess and I am able to truly follow what makes me feel good from a very aligned space. I want this for YOU.

 

Bio – Michelle Lall B.Sc. (Hons), B.Ed., CNP

I completed my certification for the Holistic Nutrition Program at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Toronto where I earned my designation as a Certified Nutritional Practitioner.

I also hold an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto specializing in Biological Chemistry and a Bachelor of Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto for high school Chemistry, Biology and French.

In addition, I am a certified teacher through the Ontario College of Teachers.

I have been awarded a certificate in the Living Foods Lifestyle from the Ann Wigmore Institute in Puerto Rico.

I combine my solid grasp of biological chemistry and my background as a certified teacher with my passion for food and nutrition to guide clients in developing a sustainable way to achieve health on all levels; physically, emotionally,  and spiritually.

I am a passionate speaker and educator who has educated high school students on nutrition, demonstrated food preparation, instructed classes on nutrition for small groups, and have taught at a retreat about the Living Foods Lifestyle and Raw Food in the Muskokas.

Are you always on another diet? Maybe this one will work, or this. Vegan, paleo, atkins, keto, detox, fasting. You can’t seem to stay on any of them because your willpower runs out.

I get it. I was the same way. I felt lost but I found my way out. You can too!

Wouldn’t it be nice to wake up and have a morning ritual that replenishes and nourishes you before you head out the door and reconnects you back to your body?  To make nourishing choices so you can walk out the door feeling in charge of your health and well being?

Wouldn’t it be nice to get to the root cause of those emotions that have been making you overeat and reach for foods that don’t nourish you? To truly integrate these aspects of you so that you feel whole and empowered? 

Would it be nice to feel in control and at ease all at once? Creating  a sustainable way of being for yourself.
