Hello love!

This week I am back with my monthly holistic favourites video. I haven’t done one in a few months but I love doing them. It’s a great way for me to share a few foods and lifestyle tips that you can easily incorporate into your life. One change at a time is doable and can create sustainable change to boost your health and wellness.

Check out the video or read below for more!

//Favorites this month//

1. Chaga – this is a mushroom that has adaptogenic properties. This means it can help your body when dealing with stress. It helps the body mitigate stress by lengthening your ‘resistance phase’ before crashing! Yes please. Adaptogens are one tool I use for helping with stress along eating well, meditation and other self care practices!

2. Tulsi or Holy Basil Tea – this is another adaptogen I love to use. I find it especially helpful before bed and helps to calm down my system.

3. Sweet Potato – is delicious, nutritious and an easy amazing snack. I love steaming it for my son. Since sweet potatoes are a root veggie they are quite grounding. This is amazing for this time of year when life can be chaotic! Sweet potatoes also help to promote skin health. Yass! Sweet potatoes contain carotenoids that convert to vitamin A in the body. Vitamin A promotes skin cell turnover leading to more fresh and glowing skin. The beautiful colour of this orange sweet potato also helps to make our skin glow from the inside out.

4. TrufflesI have been making these truffles lately. Check out this article or the video above for the importance of soaking and sprouting your seeds, nuts, grains and legumes!

There you have it, my favourites for this month. I hope you are inspired to add in one thing into your life to boost your health.

If you have any questions or comments I’d love to hear from you!

To health,
